The best PhD thesis award presented by the Energy Sector of the Royal Society of Chemistry for the year 2019 was awarded to Dr. Jessica Pereira of the University of Warwick, UK.
An alumnus of the College of Chemical Sciences, Dr. Jessica’s PhD was titled Nanostructured Copper Window & Reflective Electrodes for Organic Photovoltaics at the University of Warwick. It is indeed a proud moment for all of us at CCS.The most outstanding performer of the 31st batch of CCS, Jessica Pereira was the recipient of the Shireen Jayasuriya Memorial Gold Medal 2014 for the best overall performances in all parts of the Graduateship Examination.
For over 40 years, The College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon has produced many successful individuals who have pursued careers in chemistry and sciences in both Sri Lanka and abroad.
