The Institute of Chemistry was honored to have successfully produced their 35th Batch of Graduate Chemists and 43rd Batch of DLTC Diplomates. The fourteenth convocation of the College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon was held on the 26th of February 2018 at BMICH Main Hall.
129 Graduate Chemists and 125 DLTC Diplomates were awarded with medals and certificates from the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor respectively. The Chief Guest for the event was Professor Ananda Jayawardena, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Moratuwa, Senior Professor of Civil Engineering and present Director General, National Science Foundation (NSF) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Dr. Sarath Paranavitane , Chairman, Lanka Hospitals was the Guest of Honour.
The Institute proudly announces that it has so far produced 1350 Chemistry Graduates and 1130 Chemistry Diplomates and is the largest producer of Graduate Chemists in Sri Lanka. The demand for both courses has increased during the recent years due to their high quality.
